So, I broke someone’s heart today. I don’t feel good about it… But it had to be done. I’m sure said person will benefit from this ultimately, but I’m also sure I won’t be remembered fondly. I’m ok with that. I just hope it all works out for them in the end.
And I’m really sorry.

Alright y’all. I have been sick.
FOR THREE WEEKS.
This is not cool. First it was a sore throat, then a head cold, than a cough, then a chest cold, then another cough, and, most recently, a fever which peaked at 102 degrees Fahrenheit (38.9 degrees Celsius). I have not been this sick for this long since I was quite young. And y’all know what the problem is, right?
NEWFOUNDLAND.
That’s right, I’m blaming the whole frickin’ island with it’s frickin’ wetness and cold weather and wind. I’m sure Evelyn’s rather large daycare might have something to do with it too (three times the kids means three times the disease!), but I’ve just been über run-down, and I think that is due in large part to the wetness. I’m just not accustomed to it. Hopefully that will change.
My fever broke last night and I’m feeling much better, but I’m still not 100%. I wonder if I ever will be… Maybe I won’t be well again until I go home for winter break and breathe in some of that biting winter air. Oh, by the way, the average temperature in Manitoba this week has been 17 degrees… 1 degree here. I bring the crappy weather with me wherever I go, I swear it.

Possibly the best Hallowe'en costume ever?
Hallowe’en is approaching, and naturally that puts my mind in a gutter-like spot.
What? That’s a totally normal response.
I think it has something to do with the whole costume and candy thing – it’s such a hedonistic enterprise! And what is sex but a physical manifestation of hedonism? Anyway, it got me thinking about “sex songs.” You know, the ones you put on when you’ve got a date over, or you’re in the mood and you’re honey’s still wearing sweats.
My tastes in music are broad and bizarre. No really. So, here is my “top ten” list of sex songs. They’re all over the place, but maybe you’ll find something in there you like, too. Or maybe you’ll just question my sanity. Check out the list (with videos, ooh) after the jump!

So, for weeks I’ve had this intense CRAVING for something, but I didn’t know what. Nothing I ate tasted quite like it, I just couldn’t find satisfaction. I tried salty foods, sweet foods, healthy foods and unhealthy foods, even chocolate! Nothing worked. Then on my way home from school today, feeling totally sorry for myself for being ill, I stopped at an Esso to buy some more cough drops (three rolls in two days… Ugh). On impulse I bought one of these, and suddenly found myself totally satisfied:
Seriously? Have I seriously spent the past few weeks headily lusting over gas station food? Good lord, what is the world coming to?
