Taking this week off due to some unexpected circumstances that need to be taken care of. All The Experiment topics will be moved back by a week. I may randomly update during the week but nothing major and/or related to the project, probably – just need some time to recuperate. I will return with the food blogging wrap-up on Sunday.
Happy International Women’s Day, all.

Ok, I know it’s food blogging week, but allow me this little dalliance:
I of course had to take Dr. Drew’s Online Narcissism Test, because I couldn’t think of someone more narcissistic than me (hello, I have a blog). Except according to this test not only am I not really all that narcissistic, I’m actually less narcissistic than the average American. Let’s not turn this into a narcissism pissing contest, though, Canadians. I know you were thinking it.
Anyway.
What this tells me is that I’m pretty vain and I don’t take orders well. Not news. But in terms of feeling self-sufficient, superior, or entitled I’m doing pretty well. I’m not exploitative or an exhibitionist, either. Nice. Is it wrong that I’m feeling good about myself over this? Or ironic?
food blogging day 4: glo bars have landed! March 4, 2010

Move over, green monster! I have something more exciting to talk about today. Namely:
My very first Glo Bar! I ordered the Chocolate Peppy-mint flavour (as you can see), and it was fantastic! Very yummy, very filling. I highly recommend them. I paired it with a Happy Planet Shot for a quick refuel.
I don’t know what it is, but lately I’ve been sooooo low energy. Just constantly lethargic and tired. And my mood’s been all over the place and totally random. Case in point: do you know how I spent my evening last night? Reorganising my fridge, that’s how.
I put most of my food into Tupperware. The goal is to cook that turnip tomorrow – we’ll see how that goes. Anyway: top left is baked acorn squash cubes (which I am currently snacking on now, cold. Mmmmmm.), bottom left is leftover spinach-tomato-pine nut sautée, the middle is plum tomatoes, and on the left assorted peppers.
I’m a big fan of my top shelf now. Ain’t it purdy? I love the peaches and pears in those tall containers. As you can see I am a big fruit fan. That’s Earth Balance margarine in the background, and Ezekiel tortillas in the corner.
Anyway, I cannot tell you the last time I organised my fridge! Ever. I don’t know what’s up with me but I blame it on the rain. No sun and constant rain make Kira go crazy.
food blogging day 3: lunch at the rooms March 3, 2010

So, yesterday my friend Andy and I went to The Rooms for lunch. Is it sad that I didn’t even know they had a restaurant? Anyway. We set out around 11:00 – which is early for me, but Andy has weird hours.
food blogging day 2: raw chocolate peanut butter pudding pie March 2, 2010

You know what? All of the drama in my life – and I do mean ALL – comes from my love life. I can’t think of a single problem I’ve had that hasn’t stemmed from romantic issues in the last year. What I need to do is to find a replacement. A love-otomy, if you will. Chocolate is obviously the answer. OBVIOUSLY. But I would like to maintain some semblance of health at the same time. Which is why this excited me so much.
Oh my god you guys. I have seriously found the mother load. I feel like this dude:
I present to you Raw Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Pie!
I could have fit a few more descriptives in there, like “healthy,” or “banana,” or “vegan,” but let’s just stick with what we have for now. This recipe is a three-parter, and is based on a modified version of the Choco-cado pudding posted on Oh She Glows! (originally made by Gina of The Fitnessista). Read the recipe after the jump!
